hey, that’s me
Hi, I’m Kady. I’ve been a graphic designer for over a decade.
Over the years, I’ve had the chance to work on just about every kind of design project you can think of: branding, marketing, digital, print, social media, websites, email campaigns, and everything in between. I’ve worked with nonprofits, schools, universities, theaters, local businesses, and larger organizations, including ZACH Theatre, Texas State University, SAFE Alliance, Flavors of Austin, Celebrate Austin, Explore Austin, the Mary Lee Foundation, and the Livestrong Foundation.
My career actually started with an internship in commercial printing, which gave me a solid understanding of the production side of design. While I eventually moved into other areas of the industry, that experience has stuck with me. I learned preflight, imposition, dielines, color management, and all the little details that happen between creating a design and getting the finished piece in your hands. That experience has been incredibly useful throughout my career. It is what helped me become the experienced designer that I am today. I understand what it takes to make something look good, but also what it takes to make it work in the real world.
I like variety, I like solving problems, and I like figuring out how to make an idea work. I’m not afraid of a blank page, a seemingly impossible deadline, or a project that starts with “we’re not really sure what we want yet.” Give me the problem, the weird idea, or the wild request, and I’ll figure it out. After all this time in the industry, I’m still curious, still creating, and still having a lot of fun doing it.
